From Reclaimed Roots to Refined Results

The spark for Originally New started in 2016, when founder Jonathan Mabrito, assisted in building a home to support his mother and brother’s disabilities. When it came to the flooring, the cost was overwhelming, and Jonathan knew there had to be a better way. Just a couple years later discovered gently used commercial grade carpet tiles: durable, simple to work with and very affordable. What started as a personal solution quickly grew into a mission to help his community save money without sacrificing quality.

In 2018, with the support of his grandfather, Roger Sollenbarger, Jonathan launched the business. First as Junction Eco Mart, later evolving into Originally New to reflect both reclaimed beginnings and a growing commitment to modern flooring solutions.

As the business grew, Jonathan discovered Carpet Direct, a national network offering high-quality, name-brand flooring at deeply discounted prices. 

Now, as the Western Colorado Broker for Carpet Direct, Jonathan is able to extend that mission even further offering name brand new premium flooring at prices most people didn’t think were possible.
